We committed ourselves to a sustainable lifestyle by relinquishing our cars and going vegetarian years ago. Then, when we built our 1250 square foot home, we saw glimpses of a future where we reconnect with how things work.

Instead of being mere consumers, we decided to be producers as well. By bringing these two activities back into balance, we made our lifestyle choices an expression of our personal values.

Building ‘The Biggest Little
House in Sidney’ launched us towards the creation of an urban oasis that demonstrates how this can be accomplished. We hope to publish our story this fall.
