Before we go any farther constructing the system we have to put the exhaust vent in from the outside on the north wall... otherwise we won't have access to stud cavity through which it exits. After careful measuring by putting the fan in place we mark and measure where it will exit and then drill through from the outside. Low and behold it lines up! Phew! We have mounted the vent on combing and installed strapping on which it will be attached to thus the siding has material to be attached to when it butts up against the trim of the exhaust vent. | |||
